The 19th Ancient Capital and Lake Capital Art Grand Prize Exhibition and Sino-Japanese Artists’ Competition will be held from July 22 to 27 at the Kyoto Art Museum. Main participating artists include prominent figures from China and Japan such as He Jiaying, Li Geng, Ma Shumao, Liu Xinhua, and Nakayama Masaki. Contemporary ceramic master Li Jianshen, director of the Sanbao International Ceramic Village Museum in Jingdezhen, presenting more than ten recent ceramic works, participates through Kyoto Sanbodo. Renowned Japanese contemporary ceramic artist Yorikami Munemi and Jingdezhen Ceramic University professor Zhong Liansheng also attended the opening ceremony and received the Shiga Prefecture Education Chief Award from the organizers. The exhibition is hosted by “Kokoro no Furusato Calligraphy Association” with cooperation from China Cultural Promotion and Shaanxi International Cultural and Economic Exchange Center.
