The “Porcelain Language · Dialogue” Sino-Japanese-Korean Ceramic Art Exchange event was enthusiastically held at the Millennium Official Kiln, where many art enthusiasts enjoyed kiln-opening raku firing, tea gatherings and discussions, experiencing the spontaneous beauty of the Official Kiln Cultural Art Center firsthand.
The event gathered contemporary Japanese ceramic artist Yorikami Munemi, U.S.-trained Korean ceramic artist Lee Taixing, and local ceramic scholars, teachers, and professors from Nanhai Institute of Information Technology. Through raku creation demonstrations, Sino-Japanese tea dialogue, and cultural concept exchanges, it injected a cross-regional and cross-generational artistic feast into Shishan, while using “ceramics” as a medium to outline the vivid picture of the Official Kiln Cultural Art Center promoting artistic and cultural integration.
The millennium kiln fire reignites, inspiring an appreciation of the “improvised beauty” of raku firing.
At the beginning of the event, Li Jianshen, the chief curator of the Official Kiln Cultural Art Center and distinguished professor at Jingdezhen Ceramic University, first presented a “raku” creation demonstration to scholars and teachers of the ceramic department at Nanhai Institute of Information Technology.
